ONLINE MARKETING
10.1 Google DoubleClick
This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick from Google, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“DoubleClick”).
DoubleClick uses cookies to display relevant advertisements to users, to improve reports on campaign performance, or to avoid a user seeing the same advertisement more than once. Using a cookie identifier, Google can record which advertisements have been displayed in which browser and thus avoid repetition. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
In addition, DoubleClick may use cookie identifiers to record sales conversions when a user sees a DoubleClick advertisement and subsequently visits the advertiser’s site via the same browser and completes a purchase. According to Google the DoubleClick cookies do not contain personal data.
Your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Google by virtue of the marketing tools used. We have no influence over the scope of the data collected by Google tools or the further processing of such data by Google and we hereby inform you in accordance with our knowledge: by integrating DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have visited the relevant part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate your visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that Google will obtain and record your IP address.
If you do not wish to take part in this tracking you can disable conversion tracking cookies by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com, via https://www.google.de/settings/ads. This configuration will be deleted when you remove your cookies. You may also find information on cookie settings from the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info and make the appropriate settings. Finally you can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them or exclude acceptance in certain cases or generally. Please note that refusing cookies may restrict the functionality of this website.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with data protection standards in the EU.
For more information on Google’s privacy policy please refer to https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.
You can permanently object to the use of cookies for advertising settings by configuring your browser to block cookies or by downloading and installing the browser plug-in at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de.
Please note that certain features of this site may not be available or may be available only to a limited extent if you disable cookies.
10.2 Use of Google AdWords conversion tracking
This website uses the online advertising programme “Google AdWords” and the conversion tracking from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers through advertisements (the “Google AdWords”) on external websites. This allows us to determine the success of advertising campaigns in relation to the data. We aim to display advertisements to you that may interest you, to make our website more attractive to you and to calculate advertising costs fairly.
A conversion tracking cookie is set when you click on a Google AdWords advertisement. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. These cookies normally expire after 30 days and are not used to identify individual users. When the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user has clicked on the advertisement and been redirected to this page. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie so that cookies cannot be tracked via AdWords customers’ websites. The information collected using the conversion cookies serves to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who opt for conversion tracking. The clients learn the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a conversion-tagged page. However, they do not receive information which allows identification of users personally. If you do not wish to participate in tracking you can refuse by disabling the conversion tracking cookie via your browser settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google AdWords on the basis of our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with data protection standards in the EU.
For more information on Google’s privacy policies please refer to https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.
You can permanently object to the use of cookies for advertising settings by configuring your browser accordingly or by downloading and installing the browser plug-in at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de.
Please note that certain features of this site may not be available or may be available only to a limited extent if you disable cookies.
WEB ANALYSIS SERVICES
Google (Universal) Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, i.e. text files stored on your computer, to allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your shortened IP address) is normally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA.
This site uses Google Analytics with the function “_anonymizeIp()” which causes IP addresses to be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases only will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In exceptional cases this processing will be carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both our website and our advertising.
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide further services relating to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly; however please note that you may then not be able to make full use of all functions of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie about your website usage (including your IP address) being collected by Google, as well as the processing of the data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
As an alternative to the browser add-on, or in browsers on mobile devices, you can click the following link to set an opt-out cookie which prevents future collection of your data by Google Analytics for this website (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and for this domain; if you delete your cookies you will need to click the link again): Disable Google Analytics.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with data protection standards in the EU.
This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device tracking of user flows via a user-ID. On first visit to a page an anonymous, unique, persistent user-ID is assigned to the user which is then used across devices. This allows tracking of visitor behaviour across multiple devices and sessions for one user. The user-ID does not contain any personal data and does not identify the user to Google.
You may at any time object to the processing of your data via the user-ID for future visits. To do this you must disable Google Analytics on all browsers and systems you use, for example in another browser or on a mobile device.
You may disable this by using the browser-plug-in by Google (Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on). Alternatively you may click the following link to set an opt-out cookie which prevents future collection of your data by Google Analytics for this website (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and for this domain; if you delete your cookies you will need to click the link again): Disable Google Analytics.
For further information on Universal Analytics, please refer to: Universal Analytics – Help for Google Analytics.
TARGETED ADVERTISING/RE-MARKETING/RECOMMENDATION ADVERTISING
Facebook Pixel for Custom Audiences
This website uses the “Facebook Pixel” from Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Facebook”). With your explicit consent it is possible to track user behaviour after they have seen or clicked on a Facebook advertisement. This process allows evaluation of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and may help optimise future advertising.
The data collected are anonymous to us, meaning they do not allow conclusions to be drawn about the identity of users. However, these data are stored and processed by Facebook and can therefore be linked to the respective user profile and used for their own advertising purposes by Facebook, in accordance with Facebook’s privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). You may permit Facebook and its partners to display advertisements on and outside of Facebook. A cookie may also be stored on your computer for these purposes. These procedures are carried out solely on the basis of your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent to the use of the Facebook Pixel can only be given by users aged 13 or over. If you are younger, please ask your parents’ permission.
Facebook Inc., based in the USA, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with EU data-protection standards.
To disable cookies on your computer, you can set your browser so that no cookies will be stored on your device in future, or so that existing cookies are deleted. Deactivating all cookies may reduce the functionality of this website. You can also disable third-party cookies such as those from Facebook via the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/.
Google AdWords Remarketing
Our website uses the remarketing features of Google AdWords which allow us to display advertisements for this website in Google search results and on third-party web pages. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). For this purpose Google uses a cookie in the browser of your device that enables advertising based on your interests according to pages visited using a pseudonymous cookie identifier. The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Additional processing of data only takes place if you have consented to the linking of your internet and application use history with your Google account and the use of the information from your Google account for the personalisation of advertisements you see on the internet. If you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google may combine your data with Google Analytics data to create and define target lists for cross‐device remarketing. For this, your personal data are temporarily merged with Google Analytics data to form target groups.
You can permanently object to the setting of cookies for advertising purposes by configuring your browser accordingly or by downloading and installing the browser plug-in at: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/. Alternatively you may find information on cookie settings at the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info and make the relevant settings. Finally you can set your browser so that you are informed of the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to allow them or exclude acceptance for certain cases or generally. Please note that refusal of cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with EU data-protection standards.
